How to make steamed egg (Geranjjim)




Korean Steamed Egg (Gyeranjjim) is a popular Korean side dish made of eggs
with simple recipe. 

Ingredients: 2 eggs, 1/2 cup water, 1 tbsp chopped green onion, 
1 tsp chopped salted shrimp, kelp


<How to cook>




Beat the eggs and mix them in a bowl.

Add chopped salted shrimp in the bowl and mix them evenly.


Pour water into the earthen pot (ttukbaegi) and add kelp. 
Heat it up on high heat.  
Take out kelp from the earthen pot when it boils.

How to make Tofu and Kimchi with Pork belly (Dubu Kimchi)



Dubu kimchi is made of kimch, pork belly, and tofu with Korean seasonings. Sometimes, we use tuna instead of pork. This dish is spicy and sweet. Dubu kimchi is often served as anju(a side dish consumed with alcohol) especially with Korean traditional rice wine (makgeolli or dongdongju)


Ingredients: 1/4 head kimchi, 1 block tofu, 300g pork belly,
seasonings: 1/2 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tsp sesame oil,  1 tsp sesame seeds,
2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp red pepper powder, 1 tsp red pepper paste


<How to cook>




Cut kimchi, tofu, and pork belly into proper size to eat.


Clean and shred onion.





Preheat the pan and oil, stir-fry kimchi on high heat for 5 minutes.
Add pork belly and stir-fry until pork belly is half cooked on high heat.



Add onion and all seasoning, sir-fry it until pork belly is cooked.


Pour water into the pot and heat it up on high heat.
When it boils, add tofu into the pot.
Blanch tofu for 2 minutes.
Drain water on a strainer.


Place kimhi in the center of plate and arrange tofu around it.

How to make Kimchi Squid Pancake(Kimchi Jun)




Kimchi Pancake (Kimchi Jeon) is a popular Korean pancake made with sliced kimich, egg, and flour.
We can add various vegetables, seafood, and meat for better taste.
It can be served as an appetizer, snack or side dish.


Ingredients: 600g squid, 650g aged kimchi, 250g onion, 3 cups of flour,
3 eggs, 2 1/2 cups of water, oil


<How to cook>


Clean and peel the skin of squids off.
Slice squids into proper length to eat.


Clean and slice onions into proper thickness to eat.


Slice kimchi into proper thickness to eat.


Pour flour, beaten eggs, and water into a big bowl and mix them evenly
to make dough.




Add sliced kimchi, onion, and squid into the dough.
Mix them evenly.




Preheat the frying pan and oil.
Put two ladles of dough on the pan and spread out on medium heat.
When bottom is well, turn over.

   Hangeul



   Hangeul was invented by King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty, and      introduced to the public in 1443 as "Hun-Min-Jeong-Eum".
 When first proclaimed by King Sejong, Hangeul was consisted of 28    letters in total, but presently, 40 letters as listed below are used as        Hangeul.

 The vowel were designed on the basis of The "Three Basic Components of the Universe" :
